The Cedar Ridge Timberwolves competed in the 2A-3 District Golf Tournament yesterday at the Eagle Mountain Golf Course in Batesville. They came out on top with a team score of 229, which put them ahead of Palestine Wheatley (271), Buffalo Island Central (276), Des Arc (291), Bay (297), Riverside (315), Marmaduke (338), McCrory (334), and Rector (367). This is the second year the Timberwolves have placed first in the District Tournament.
Senior Caden Griffin was picked as the boys medalist for yesterday's event, with an individual score of 1 under par 71. Junior Easton Griffin ended with an impressive on-par score of 72. Senior Kade Barber ended with an 86, and Junior Kyle Provence with an 87.
The Timberwolf record is currently at 45-2 as they head into the State Tournament on October 4th. State will be hosted by Cedar Ridge, and will be held at the Eagle Mountain Golf Course.
