The Cedar Ridge Book Bus is hitting the road again this June to start Year 2 of delivering the joy of reading! David Ward, Elementary ALE Teacher and 2023 District Teacher of the Year, and Shirl Nelson, Elementary Librarian and Media Specialist, will be visiting the areas of Thida, Oil Trough, Newark, Magness, and Charlotte starting on June 4th. Every Tuesday throughout the summer (except the week of July 4th), they will visit these areas for one hour, giving readers the chance to pick out books, take AR tests, listen to guest speakers, and so much more!
New this year, the Cedar Ridge Book Bus will have what's called "Bounty Books." Readers may choose to take home these hand-picked "Bounty Books," take a written test on the book when the bus comes back around, and receive prizes!
Readers of ALL ages are encouraged to join. The Book Bus will have books for all ages (including adults). We believe that families who read together, succeed together.
