Thursday nights Jr. High JV game at ICC will start at 8:00pm, the Jr. High varsity game will immediately follow. Friday night Sr. High varsity game at Cedar Ridge will start at 8:00pm.
The tennis match scheduled for Thursday against Cave City has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 19th.
Due to the excessive heat, all outdoor athletic events and practices scheduled for Monday August 21st through Wednesday, August 23rd have been canceled, Thursday and Friday’s athletic events and practices will be reevaluated later in the week. This includes Peewee Football practices.
There will be a short parent/player meeting for football players in grades 7-12 Tuesday, August 22 at 5:45pm in the high school cafeteria. Head football coach Scott Morgan will discuss heat illness, concussion protocol, bus sign out directions etc. All parents are highly encouraged to attend. Athletic passes for the 23-24 school year are now for sale! Passes are $50 and can be purchased at athletic gates. The first home volleyball game is tomorrow at 4:50 against Marianna Lee.

Reminder: Athletic physicals for all athletes in grades 6-12 will be offered tomorrow, Friday August 18th. Nurse practitioners from WRMC will be administering the physicals. Your student/athlete will need to pick up a physical form from their coach or in the high school office. The forms must be completed and signed by the parent or guardian before the physical can be given. Student/athletes participating in ANY sport for the 23-24 school year must have passed a physical before participating. Should you decide to have your child receive their physical from your personal doctor PLEASE pick up the physical form and take with you to your doctor.

If your child is entering 7th grade they are required to have an MCV4 vaccine. If your child turns 16 prior to September 1, they are required to have a second MCV4 vaccine. These Immunizations are required prior to the start of the 23-24 school year (August 14). If you received an immunization letter for your child, please schedule an appointment with the Health Department or your family doctor to get these immunizations prior to the start of the 23-24 school year.
This week the book bus will be traveling on Thursday, July 13th instead of the normal Tuesday route. The book bus will make all the normal stops at the normal times, just on Thursday. We hope to see you Thursday!

The Cedar Ridge Book Bus hits the road tomorrow and will run every Tuesday from June 6 - July 30 (except July 4). Scheduled stops are: Thida Community Center 9:30-10:00, Oil Trough City Park 10:15-10:45, Newark Fire Station, 11:00-11:30, McAdams Park (Cord) 12:30-1:00, Sale Barn (Charlotte) 1:15-1:45. Come enjoy sweet treats, books, prizes and familiar faces. We hope to see you at one of our stops.
Cedar Ridge School District is offering FREE MEALS to all children 18 years of age and younger throughout the summer! Breakfast and lunch will be served every day in the Cedar Ridge Elementary Cafeteria starting on May 25th until July 31st (no meal service on July 4).
