
The Sr. High softball team will play a double header today at Quitman. Games start at 3:30p.m.

On Monday, April 24th, students in grades 6 and 8 will be screened for scoliosis. If you do not want your child screened for scoliosis, you must let the school nurse know in writing at least three days before the screening date. The Sr. high varsity softball game scheduled for Tuesday at Highland has been cancelled. Jr High softball will still play a double header; games start at 4:30.

Softball update: The Sr. High and Jr. High softball teams will play Hillcrest at home today at 4:30. Tomorrow, the Sr. high varsity and JV team will play South Side Bee Branch at 4:30 at home.

The Cedar Ridge Choir Yard Sale Fundraiser will be held this Saturday, April 8th in front of the Cedar Ridge High School during the citywide yard sale. All proceeds will benefit the Choir Programs.

Cedar Ridge will be monitoring the severe weather as it moves across the state during the overnight and morning hours. If there is an active tornado warning for our area at the time buses begin routes, we will hold all buses until the warning is lifted. We will send updates via text and social media if this situation occurs.

Due to the possibility of severe weather, we will not be taking the senior pictures scheduled for tomorrow. They will be rescheduled for a later date.

The tornado warnings for the area have been lifted. Students, faculty and staff have returned to their classrooms.

A tornado warning has been issued for the surrounding area. Students, faculty and staff have been taken to our tornado safe shelters. Parents wishing to check their student out during this time will need to pick up at the following locations: Preschool and elementary-Tornando safe room located beside the early childhood building. Middle school and high school-Back of the High School gymnasium.

Due to the weather forecast, today’s softball games will be rescheduled for a later date. Reschedule date will be announced once a date is determined.

Cedar Ridge is closely monitoring the severe weather as it moves across the state this afternoon. In order to keep our students and staff safe, we will move all staff and students to the campus safe room or gym basement if the need arises. If there is an active tornado warning for independence county at time of dismissal, we will hold students in safe rooms until the warning is lifted.
